Here is some seo jargon that us search engine optimizers use on a daily basis and the english that goes along with it.
Smart SEO Audit Tools that can Optimize Your Website and how to.
♧Meta Data – These systems will crawl through every page and check to ensure your meta data is complete. This includes meta description tags and meta keyword tags; if you have duplicate data, tags that are too long or short, or just plain missing tags, these tools will alert you.
♧Links – Rather than combing through your site and clicking on every external and internal link.
♧404 Errors – These aren’t just bad for SEO, they’re horrible customer experiences too. Crawl your site regularly to make sure it never suffers from this dead-end error.
♧Duplicate Content – By now you’re probably all too aware how much search engines don’t like duplicates; these solutions can help you guarantee you are never dinged by being repetitive.
Redirects – Keep tabs on various 301 and 302 redirects to make sure they are functioning properly.
♧URL Naming Issues – If your site has a lot of pages, it’s tough to keep up with the naming structure.
♧Rel Canonical – This is a prominent problem with many URLs; rel canonical issues send search engines to the wrong page on your site.
♧Page Title Tags and Headings – Yet another intricate and detailed part of each page! Title tags and headings need to be keyword-centric and descriptive. If they’re not.
♧Indexing – Ensure the search engine’s robots have zero issues crawling your site.
♧Load Times – Although hotly debated about how relevant load times are to SEO, they matter to search engines because they matter to users. Find out if any of your pages are pushing the limit.
♧Buried Content – Search engines will normally not venture several levels deep inside your website. If you have content that is too buried.
♧Follow and No-Follow Tags – Need to know exactly which of your links have follow or no-follow tags? These solutions will reveal all.
♧Image Issues – If you have pictures on your site that are damaged, missing, corrupt, or sans alt text.
That is just a few seo techniques I use on a daily basis. If you are needing more help or you would like to speak to me directly about your SEO then email me at: Tash@ltvastmedia.com

……customers, customers, customers
Is that not what you want for your businesses? Then start actually speaking to them.
Many companies reach out through social media to get in touch with their customers, but how many actually have a normal conversation with them?
I will take a stab in the dark and say less than 20%
It’s interesting that the majority of people are spending budgets on monitoring and listening to customers, yet the same amount aren’t spending money on reaching those customers via social media activity or online PR. This means that companies are listening to what’s being said about them but not always responding.
What is also interesting from this is that SEO is taking quite a big percentage of budgets, however other PR activities such as influencer outreach are showing a much lower percentage.
Im sure that all they want for christmas is a business that not only listens but also has empathy and understanding by writing back or just ‘catching up’ with them.
How hard is it to be social?
Just to add in here at the end: I am so glad to see most shady SEO businesses being effected by google panda and the latest updates. Not good for businesses that have found themselves being pushed to the bottom of ranking but good for the REAL SEO experts to shine through.
There are hundreds if not thousands of useful seo/sem tools out there for your website, but using them all is just no good for anyone’s computer or head for that matter.
What I feel is best is if you have a small handful of tools and get good at using them, master them so you know what each thing does for what then that is better than using 10 different tools and only using parts of them.
We make our own software, hence why we get the results we do. There is no software or ‘tool’ that we haven’t trialed and tested the hell out of that is as good as what we made…..and no you can’t have it haha.
My advice is to use google as much as you can and delve into the never ending vortex of free trials before buying an expensive tool that you will no longer use, thus saving you money in the long run.
If you have found a tool that you feel that others could get good use out of then please post a link or comment below. From one business to another!
So we haven’t written in a little while (slap our wrists). However we have been extremely busy with new clients and customers. I still can’t believe just how many other agencies and companies say they do seo when they don’t even do the basics like create a sitemap for the website. They should be ashamed of themselves.
It does work in our favour as we get to help loads of people climb the ranks again and feel positive about their businesses once more.
I thought it was about time we wrote a small ‘how to’ on the subject search engine optimisation. It can be a tough and technical job, which is why some companies have their own in-house SEO professional. Here we are, going to give you some tips and advice on how to do the basics of SEO.
Ok, first and foremost. You need to provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do.
Tip: Think about how you would search for information you needed. Think about the words users would type to find your pages and include those words on your site.
Check and re-check all punctuation and spelling on your site. There is nothing more off putting than trying to read somethung fill off speeling mistakes right? Well, if you don’t spell things correctly then the search engines wont be able to read it properly either.
When it comes to writing titles for search engines, the first thing you have to know is this…you only have 65 characters to write your headline. Anymore than 65 characters and your title will get cut off in a search result.
Your Meta Description is another important task. Front load keywords that are relevant to the article. If you like formulas, ask “Who? What? Why? When? Where? How?” That’s a formula journalists use to report. It works equally well writing descriptions.
Try and keep your website looking good by being a minimalist. Good SEO involves good web design. That’s one of the latest trends in the SEO world, and you can’t ignore it if you want to rank above the fold on search engines.
