Our new look website is now up and a running! Very pleased with the outcome of this one!
So we haven’t written in a little while (slap our wrists). However we have been extremely busy with new clients and customers. I still can’t believe just how many other agencies and companies say they do seo when they don’t even do the basics like create a sitemap for the website. They should be ashamed of themselves.
It does work in our favour as we get to help loads of people climb the ranks again and feel positive about their businesses once more.
I thought it was about time we wrote a small ‘how to’ on the subject search engine optimisation. It can be a tough and technical job, which is why some companies have their own in-house SEO professional. Here we are, going to give you some tips and advice on how to do the basics of SEO.
Ok, first and foremost. You need to provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do.
Tip: Think about how you would search for information you needed. Think about the words users would type to find your pages and include those words on your site.
Check and re-check all punctuation and spelling on your site. There is nothing more off putting than trying to read somethung fill off speeling mistakes right? Well, if you don’t spell things correctly then the search engines wont be able to read it properly either.
When it comes to writing titles for search engines, the first thing you have to know is this…you only have 65 characters to write your headline. Anymore than 65 characters and your title will get cut off in a search result.
Your Meta Description is another important task. Front load keywords that are relevant to the article. If you like formulas, ask “Who? What? Why? When? Where? How?” That’s a formula journalists use to report. It works equally well writing descriptions.
Try and keep your website looking good by being a minimalist. Good SEO involves good web design. That’s one of the latest trends in the SEO world, and you can’t ignore it if you want to rank above the fold on search engines.
If you disagree with anything that has been written in this post, then please feel free to comment or message as we would love to know your thoughts.
We are so excited to tell you we have opened a new department!!! We have the best SEO spy team that we have managed to put together. We have named them the ‘S.E.O.I Team’ and of course they have their own email address: SEOI@ltvastmedia.com
These SEO investigators with trawl through the internet at your competitors and see exactly what they are up to, how they are pulling in their customers and how much they are spending to get those results.
When the SEOI team manage to collect all of the information they can possibly find about your competitor, they will then put together a report and plan of action to beat them at their own game, but do it 100% better.
Here are a few things they check for:
How frequently do they update their social media profile pages?
What types of content do they post?
Do they interact with others in their online communities?
How do they integrate their social media pages with their actual business website?
What do their networks look like?
What types of friends, fans, etc. are they engaging with on these platforms?
Some companies and industries face serious competition online. While your business might do well face-to-face, there could be dozens of other websites that are competing for the attention of your online audience.
If another website is ranking higher than you for your keywords or even ranking higher for your company or brand name, then it is time to revaluate your online SEO strategy and to begin competitor SEO analysis and review.

Search engine marketing is the act of marketing a website to improve its performance and to get noticed in the search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, or MSN.
Two Major Components of Search Engine Marketing
There are two primary forms of SEM:
Paid search marketing – PPC (pay per click) or PPA (pay per action) where ads are placed by the search engine through that engine’s search marketing programs (such as AdWords, in the case of Google, for example) and advertisers pay only when a searcher clicks on a displayed ad (PPC) or clicks on an ad and takes a specific action, such as signing up on a website or purchasing a product (PPA).
SEO (search engine optimization) where techniques are employed in the hopes of improving a website’s search rankings in the natural, or unpaid search results.
SEM is a fairly new, but rapidly growing field. Search engine marketing can be a lucrative career or a profitable home business due to rapidly rising demand for SEM services and a limited, experienced SEM labor pool that employers can use to meet their needs.
You may or may not decide to make search engine marketing part of your marketing and advertising strategy. If you don’t have a Web site for your business and don’t plan to ever have one, you certainly wouldn’t need search engine marketing. However, in today’s business climate, nearly all business are expected to have a website and most do.
Search engine marketing is used as a way to get traffic to your website, which in turn should ideally lead to getting new customers and adding to your home business revenues. Compared to other means of marketing and advertising, search engine marketing can be very cost effective.
Now when we tell our clients that we do SEO we make sure that they know that they get SEM free! Why? Because we can and we don’t think its fair on struggling business’s to be ripped off and have to pay out double for two services that are nearly the same.
Have an awesome weekend and remember

Search Engine Optimization Services
There are a variety of search engine optimization services in which we offer solutions for a variety of ranking issues, and deficiencies. Depending on your goals, and needs one, or a combination, of the below services may be right for your website.
Website SEO Audit
A search engine optimization audit can come in a varying levels of detail and complexity. A simple website audit can be as short as a few pages long, and would address glaring on-page issues such as missing titles, and lack of content. On the other hand other end of the spectrum, a comprehensive website SEO audit will be comprised of dozens of pages (for most larger sites it will be over one hundred pages) and address even the tiniest of website elements which may potentially be detrimental to the ranking-ability of a website.
On-page or on-site search engine optimization refers to SEO techniques which are designed to implement the problems and potential issues that an SEO audit uncovers. On-page SEO addresses a variety of fundamental elements (as they relate to SEO) such as page titles, headings, content and content organization, and internal link structure. As with a website SEO audit, there are basic, as well as comprehensive services when it comes to on-page search engine optimization. At the most basic level, an on-page optimization campaign can be a one-time project which includes recommendations developed through an audit, and the implementation thereof. This type of on-page optimization would generally target the home page and a few other important pages on the website. More comprehensive on-page search engine optimization campaigns will use the findings of a highly detailed website SEO audit, and monitor results to guide ongoing changes to the on-page optimization.
Link Development (Link Building)
Link development is one of the most controversial and often talked (written) about topics of the search engine optimization industry. Since backlinks are the most vital component of any search engine optimization campaign, and at the same time the most time consuming and consequently most expensive (assuming they are good quality links and not just random directory submissions and blog comment spam) part, inevitably, there are many service providers who offer inexpensive link building services in order to attract and impress potential clients. Such schemes include large volumes of directory submissions (e.g., 200 directory submissions per month), worthless blog and forum comment spam (e.g., 100 blog links per month), or article writing and submissions which result in extremely poor quality content published on equally low-quality article directories which contribute in no positive way to ranking improvements. So if someone is quoting you a £500 per month search engine optimization services which includes large volumes of directory submissions, blog posts, articles, blog/forum comments and so on, all you will be doing is throwing your money away. This is not to say that you can’t get link-work for £500 per month; however, it won’t be for a large volume of links.Good quality link development work focuses on quality rather than quantity. A well researched and relevant, good quality link is worth many times more than hundreds of free directory submissions. The fundamentals of link building are, have always been and always will be, based on good quality (i.e., useful, interesting, entertaining, educational) content. Because if there is no good content on your site that people can link to, it will be very difficult to convince them to do so.

The best piece of SEO advice is to focus on creating trust through everything you do online and offline.
You have two audiences: search engines and humans. The former (let’s just say “Google”) wants to show web pages that it trusts will provide a good experience to the searcher — pages that will answer their query. When you look at a page of search results, you’re looking at what Google thinks are the most trusted pages to answer the search.
When Google begins to trust your website, your natural traffic will grow and grow and grow. You won’t have to worry about algorithm changes. Your website will be crawled more deeply, your content will get indexed faster, and you’ll be able to rank for more competitive terms faster.
Humans? We basically operate on trust. All of us like to do business with companies that we trust. We like to spend time on websites that we trust. The first thing we do — subconsciously — when we visit a new website is make a quick decision about the trustworthiness of the company/site. When searchers trust you and your site, you’re much more likely to convert them into customers/leads.
If you focus on building trust in all you do, you’ll be on your way to longterm SEO success. It’s the #1 factor for search engine rankings/visibility.
