Is that not what you want for your businesses? Then start actually speaking to them.

Many companies reach out through social media to get in touch with their customers, but how many actually have a normal conversation with them?

I will take a stab in the dark and say less than 20%

It’s interesting that the majority of people are spending budgets on monitoring and listening to customers, yet the same amount aren’t spending money on reaching those customers via social media activity or online PR. This means that companies are listening to what’s being said about them but not always responding.

What is also interesting from this is that SEO is taking quite a big percentage of budgets, however other PR activities such as influencer outreach are showing a much lower percentage.

Im sure that all they want for christmas is a business that not only listens but also has empathy and understanding by writing back or just ‘catching up’ with them. 

How hard is it to be social?

Just to add in here at the end: I am so glad to see most shady SEO businesses being effected by google panda and the latest updates. Not good for businesses that have found themselves being pushed to the bottom of ranking but good for the REAL SEO experts to shine through.

SEO Tools Gadgets and Gizmos

Tools are only as effective as the expertise of the person using them

There are hundreds if not thousands of useful seo/sem tools out there for your website, but using them all is just no good for anyone’s computer or head for that matter.

What I feel is best is if you have a small handful of tools and get good at using them, master them so you know what each thing does for what then that is better than using 10 different tools and only using parts of them.

We make our own software, hence why we get the results we do. There is no software or ‘tool’ that we haven’t trialed and tested the hell out of that is as good as what we made…..and no you can’t have it haha.

My advice is to use google as much as you can and delve into the never ending vortex of free trials before buying an expensive tool that you will no longer use, thus saving you money in the long run.

How is my business doing?

So we haven’t written in a little while (slap our wrists). However we have been extremely busy with new clients and customers. I still can’t believe just how many other agencies and companies say they do seo when they don’t even do the basics like create a sitemap for the website. They should be ashamed of themselves.
